Coil Filters

For: Canopy grease control

Plasma Clean coil filters provide a first line of defence for kitchen ventilation systems. Working on extraction air before it gets into the canopy, they capture up to 95% of grease and oil particles – a huge improvement on the typical 20-40% achieved by traditional baffle filters.

How it works

The coil creates a vortex in the air so grease and oil particles spin out separately. The particles then collect together for recycling.

For a complete grease, odour and smoke solution, we can combine coil filters with any or all of the following products:

Xtract 2100 – odour

Electrostatix ESP units – smoke and grease

Techniclean UV-C units – odour and grease

Units are modular, and can be combined together as required.

Installation

Coil filter installation is simple and straightforward. If you are producing a new canopy, ask us for details of the design and dimensions of the mounting plate. If you are replacing existing baffle filters, our adaptor plate makes the job quick and easy.

Care and maintenance

Oil and grease is collected in the filter cup at the front of the unit, and can be recycled along with the spent oil from the frying range. The stainless steel filter simply needs washing in warm soapy water and can even go in the dishwasher.

Depending on the level of cooking, the unit can be washed daily or as part of a weekly cleaning routine. Remember that the oil trapped by the coil filter would otherwise have found its way into the ductwork, necessitating duct cleaning.
