For the Removal of Particulate in the Air Stream
Electrostatic Precipitators (ESP's) work by ionising and trapping grease and smoke particles onto collector plates. They have a high particulate removal efficiency, removing sub-micron particles as much as 99.5%. For most applications, Plasma Clean strongly recommend a two-pass or tandem-pass system. Exhaust air flows through two sets of ioniser cells and collector plates to ensure maximum efficiency.A significant advantage of ESP's is the low pressure drop, meaning that existing fans do not need to be upgraded.
Electrostatic Precipitators are used in a wide variety of applications including:
- Grease and smoke removal from kitchen exhausts - Oil mist and smoke generated by high speed machine tools - Water-based emulsion mist - Welding smoke - Soldering fumes - Diesel smoke
Four Stages of Filtration
Plasma Clean tandem-pass Electrostatic Air Cleaners provide four stages of filtration and are designed to provide continuous operation with only minimal maintenance requirements.
Stage 1- Media pre-filter, designed to arrest small particulate (Grade EU4) Stage 2- Ionising sub-micron particulate such as smoke, grease particles, oil mist, fumes etc Stage 3- Electrostatic collector plates trap sub-micron particles Stage 4- Aluminium post filter
