Obnoxious food waste odours from commercial waste management systems cause a real stink for hotels and restaurants that have a reputation to keep. But through a new partnership with Meiko, a commercial dishwashing machines and system expert, Plasma Clean’s Xtract Ioniser technology is set to make things a whole lot better. The Xtract units are now offered as a highly effective and value for money odour control option on Meiko’s Microvac systems. These transport commercial food waste to a central tank, storing it for several weeks before being emptied. Bad odours commonly occur in the vacuum pumps and ventilation areas of the system, traditionally controlled through an expensive roof exhaust, which can be difficult to accommodate, especially in old buildings. Now Meiko customers can benefit from immediate removal of bad odours that could otherwise impact customer service. As part of the partnership Plasma Clean will also provide installation, if required, and maintenance support of the Xtract units at Meiko installation sites. Bill Downie, Managing Director, Meiko explained, “We now offer the Xtract as a standard odour control option in our Microvac system because it eradicates smells at source, is easy to maintain and replace and offers real value for money to customers. It’s a truly cost effective way for our customers to combat food waste odours.” Watch out for more news about our fight against commercial food waste smells at Meiko sites in 2012! |
